About this game
PiAS Memo Language promotes memory, expands vocabulary and supports children of preschool and elementary school age in their language development. The picture memo invites you to search for and find suitable picture pairs. With the rhyme, initial and letter memo, the app actively supports the forerunner skills that are important for later learning to read and write.
The picture memo is free of charge and can be played immediately. The learning extension to rhymes, initials and letters is chargeable. The full version can be activated as an in-app purchase in the secure parents' area and then offers access to all content.
★ pictures
The child's ability to remember is required here. The aim is to find the appropriate pair of images. Whoever discovers the most pairs of images wins. Each picture is named by Pia, so that not only memory but also vocabulary is supported.
★ rhymes
Understanding and correctly applying rhymes is a fundamental skill in language development and is important for learning to read and write in school. The memo game playfully creates an awareness of rhymes.
★ initial sounds
The initial memo directs the child's perception to the first sound of a word, which is fundamental for learning and assigning letters.
★ letters
The letter memo supports the child's literacy phase. The right letter is available in the game for every initial sound and is waiting to be discovered. In this way it is possible to playfully combine initial sounds and letters.
