Pilewise works out the compost math before you guess: blend your feedstocks to the right carbon-to-nitrogen ratio and moisture, see a live verdict, and get exactly what to add to fix it.

Add your greens (nitrogen-rich) and browns (carbon-rich) by weight (kg/lb) or volume (litres/buckets/US gallons), and Pilewise works out the blended C:N ratio and moisture as you go.

• Live verdict: ideal, acceptable or needs adjusting — for both the C:N ratio and the moisture
• Solver: exactly how much of a chosen material to add to reach your target ratio, or water or dry material to fix the moisture
• A 41-material feedstock library — greens, browns and manures with real published values and sources — plus your own materials with your own numbers
