About this app

VFR route planner, preflight briefing (weight & balance, METAR/TAF, fuel) and GPS flight recorder for general aviation pilots.

Pilot Sanchez is the companion app for general aviation pilots: plan, brief, fly and log, with the same account you use on pilotsanchez.com.

GPS FLIGHT RECORDER
• Record your flight track with the phone's GPS, also while the screen is off or the app is in the background.
• Points are kept on the device when there is no coverage and uploaded during the flight or when you stop.
• Recording summary: time, distance, ground speed and altitude.
• While recording, a persistent notification shows the elapsed flight time and takes you back to the app (Android foreground service).
• Location is only used while a recording you started is running, including in the background.

BRIEFING
• Weight and balance with the CG envelope for the selected aircraft.
• Fuel planning, density altitude and performance.
• METAR / TAF for departure, destination and alternate.
• GO / NO-GO summary and a briefing PDF you can save or share.

VFR ROUTE PLANNER
• Still-air VFR route preview with intermediate stops, fuel stops and airspace warnings.
• Terrain and satellite base maps.
• Share a route with a 7-day link.

PILOT TOOLS
• Climb and descent distance and rate, linked climb/descent profile.
• Fuel endurance, wind correction, rule of 60, QNH ↔ altitude, CAS ↔ TAS, density altitude.
• Time calculator, UTC and time zones, stopwatch, unit converter and route → ICAO syntax.

MY HANGAR & AIRCRAFT
• Your aircraft and the organisations (flying schools, clubs) you belong to.
• Aircraft profiles from your hangar and the POH generic fleet.
• Oil & fuel log for each airframe.

BLOG

An account is required (free). You can delete your account and its data from Settings at any time.
