Accessibility API Disclosure

FocusGate uses the Android AccessibilityService API to detect when you open apps that you have selected for monitoring. This allows FocusGate to show your Focus Gate, task prompt, breathing reset, or check-in screen at the right moment.

FocusGate uses AccessibilityService only for its core focus features:
• Detecting when a selected gated app is opened
• Showing an intentional pause before that app continues
• Triggering check-ins during app use based on your settings
• Helping redirect attention toward tasks, breaks, and mindful use

FocusGate does not use AccessibilityService to read private messages, capture passwords, collect typed text, access financial information, or monitor unrelated activity outside the focus features you enable. You control which apps are gated and whether AccessibilityService is enabled.
