About this app

PinStro is two things in one app: a way to find the shops around you, and the
toolkit to run a shop of your own.

Search for what you need and see which nearby shops actually have it. Or open your own shop and run it from your phone — ring up sales, track stock, manage staff, print receipts.

FOR SHOPPERS

Find what is near you
• See shops around you on the map, nearest first
• Browse by category — hardware, groceries, pharmacy, and more
• Search for a product and see which nearby shops have it in stock
• See how far each shop is before you set out

Look before you go
• Open a shop's page and browse its full catalog with photos and prices
• See variants — size, colour, design — and what is actually in stock
• Spot shops that have verified their business
• Get directions when you are ready to visit
• Save the areas you search often, and pick one again in a tap

FOR SHOP OWNERS

Point of sale
• Ring up sales in person, take cash, and see the change to hand back
• Scan barcodes and QR codes at the till with your camera
• Print receipts to a Bluetooth ESC/POS thermal printer
• Reprint a receipt later, with the same amount tendered

Products and stock
• Build a catalog with photos, prices and stock counts
• Give a product variants — size, colour, design — each with its own photo, price and stock
• Stock updates as you sell, so what shoppers see is what you actually have

Getting found (optional)
• Switch on public listing and shoppers can find you on the map
• Your catalog is what they search, so listing a product is how you get found

Staff
• Invite staff as a manager or a cashier, with different permissions
• Set work hours so a cashier can only ring up sales during their shift
• Every action is recorded, so you can see who did what and when

More than one shop
• Run several shops from one account and switch between them
• Each shop keeps its own catalog, staff and sales

Sharing shelf space (subrent)
• Host another seller's stock on your shelf, or place your stock in theirs
• Sell hosted items at your own till, with the revenue split agreed up front
• Every quantity change is auditable, and either side can end the arrangement
• Settle a period from a statement both shops can see

ANY ACCOUNT CAN DO BOTH

There is no separate shopper app. Sign up and you can browse the shops near you straight away; decide to sell later and you open a shop from the same account.

PinStro is a directory, not a marketplace. You find the shop, then you go there or contact them. There is no cart and no checkout — nothing is bought in the app.

PLANS

Every feature is free on every plan. Paid plans do not unlock features; they raise how much you can create — more shops, more products per shop, more variants per product, more staff seats, more shelf-sharing arrangements.

The point of sale, inventory, staff roles and analytics work the same whether you pay or not. If your plan lapses, nothing of yours is deleted — you keep everything you built and simply stop adding beyond the free limits until you renew.

VERIFICATION AND BEING FOUND

Verifying your shop is what lets it appear in shopper search and on the map, and it earns a badge shoppers can see. Appearing there is still your choice: public listing is off by default and you switch it on in your shop's settings, so an unverified or unlisted shop stays private — location, stock and all. Either way every seller feature works without it.

Your shop is listed for shoppers as soon as you create it — no waiting to be verified.

• Creating a shop now asks for a category, an address and the prohibited-items policy
• Verification now has two levels — 50% for your ID, 100% for a registered business
• Inventory settings: choose which items shoppers see. Hidden ones still sell at your counter
• Search and your shop's location now stay in your country
• Your own sales and stock you host for others are now counted separately
