Piper Ears helps music students develop their ear training skills and to prepare for ear training tests. Students can practice recognizing scales, intervals, chords, melodic patterns, rhythmic patterns, and other music elements. The exercises in the app are arranged in levels, Prep, 1-9, and Advanced, and the curriculum is modeled after the Certificate of Merit program of the Music Teachers Association of California. There is a practice mode for working on specific skills of recognition of scales, chords, and intervals; and there is a quiz mode that tests the students in all areas of the curriculum.
