About this app

Prayer times calculated on your own phone, for your own city.

Namaz Time shows Fajr, Sunrise, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib and Isha for wherever you are, along with the Qibla direction and the Hijri calendar. Everything is worked out on your device, so the app keeps working when your mobile data does not.

WHY THE TIMES ARE RIGHT FOR YOU

Prayer times are not the same for everyone in one city. The Asr time differs by more than an hour between the Hanafi and Shafi'i schools. Namaz Time asks which one you follow the first time you open it, and remembers your answer.

It also uses the calculation authority followed in your region. University of Islamic Sciences Karachi for India, Pakistan and Bangladesh. Umm al-Qura for Saudi Arabia. Egyptian General Authority. Muslim World League. Diyanet for Turkiye. MUIS for Singapore and Malaysia. ISNA and Moonsighting Committee for North America. You can change the method at any time.

If your local masjid runs a few minutes different, shift each prayer on its own until the app matches your masjid.

The Hijri date can be adjusted by up to two days, because local moon sighting often differs from calculation.

A monthly namaz timetable you can look through, day by day.
Qibla compass that corrects for magnetic declination, so it points to true north and not magnetic north.
Reminders for each prayer, with an optional early reminder.

SEVEN LANGUAGES

English, Hindi, Urdu, Bengali, Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu. The app picks your language from your city and you can change it in settings. Right to left layout is fully supported for Urdu.

YOUR PRAYERS STAY ON YOUR PHONE

No account. No sign in. Prayer times, Qibla and the calendar are all calculated on the device. Your location and your prayer record never leave your phone. The app uses the internet in only two places: when you search for a city, and when you tap the button to watch an ad. There are no banners and nothing interrupts you — the ad only opens if you ask for it.

No banner ads, and nothing ever interrupts you. The only ad is behind a button you choose to press, to support the app.

BUILT FOR THE PHONE YOU ACTUALLY HAVE

Small download. Runs on Android 7 and above. Works on entry level phones without lag. If your phone stops background apps to save battery and your reminders go quiet, the app has a diagnostics screen that shows you exactly what is blocked and takes you to the right settings screen for your phone brand.

If you find a time that does not match your masjid, tell us. Getting the times right matters more to us than anything else in this app.
