About this app

How fast does that pitch really feel β€” and how do you practice for it?

A 50 mph fastball from 46 feet gives a 10U batter the same reaction time as a 66 mph pitch from 60'6". Pitch Speed Equivalents shows you the math instantly, then tells you exactly what speed to set at your practice distance so your player trains with game-realistic timing.

⚾ COMPARE SPEEDS ACROSS AGE GROUPS
Enter any pitch speed and distance. The app calculates the equivalent speed at every standard age group β€” from 8U coach pitch to pro-level regulation β€” for both baseball and softball. Every result is based on reaction time: the window a batter has from release to plate.

🎯 DIAL IN YOUR PRACTICE
This is not just a comparison tool β€” it is a training tool. Enter the game speed your player faces, then add your practice distance. A dedicated practice card shows exactly what to set your machine to, plus the expected plate speed for verification with tools like HitTrax, Rapsodo, or FlightScope. Save your setup and load it instantly next time you are at the cage.

πŸ“ NOT SURE ON DISTANCE?
The built-in Pace It Off stride calculator lets you walk from the rubber to the plate, enter your stride count and height range, and the app estimates the distance for you. No tape measure needed.

🏟️ BUILT FOR THE FIELD
-Coaches: Set up practice sessions with game-accurate timing. Show parents what their kid's velocity really means compared to the next level.
-Parents: Understand what "throws 50 mph" actually looks like at your kid's age β€” and set the batting cage machine to match what they will face in games.
-Facilities: Dial in your pitching machines at any cage distance for the right experience at every age level. Save each cage as a setup for quick reference.
-Players: See what speed you need to hit at the next level, then train for it at whatever distance you have available.

🌍 Age group labels follow common US youth league conventions including Little League, USSSA, USA Softball, Perfect Game, and AAU. International users can enter any custom distance and speed using Imperial or Metric units.

Free, lightweight, and built by a coach who got tired of doing the math on the sideline.
