About this game

Plenty of games ask you to match colors. Pixel Animal asks something else: in what order will you send them?

Tap an animal and it walks from the left edge to the right. In each column it clears the bottom block, but only if that block is its color. It can't skip past other colors.
When an animal has cleared as many blocks as its number, it leaves. If it has some left, it comes back and takes a seat.
So the animal that clears the most right now isn't always the best move. Clear the colors underneath first, and the ones above open up.

■ Animals wait in line
Behind each of the five spots is a line of animals, and only the one at the front can be used.
Need an animal further back? Send out the ones in front of it first.
Will you spend a move on an animal that can't clear anything, just to move the line forward? That call is the heart of the game.

■ Five seats for returning animals
An animal with blocks left over comes back to one of five seats, and you can send it out again from there.
If all five seats are full when another animal returns, the level is lost.
Keeping seats free is part of the skill.

■ One animal for every color
Red blocks are for the Crab, yellow blocks for the Chick.
Eight animals (Crab, Fox, Chick, Caterpillar, Pig, Deer, Cow and Panda) each take care of their own color.
No need to pick anyone: the colors on the board decide which animals show up.

■ 2,000 pixel pictures
Boards start at 14×14 and grow to 50×50. The bigger the grid, the smaller the blocks and the finer the picture.
Past level 1,000, Part 2 opens: 1,000 new pictures, climbing from 14×14 again.
Every level has been checked, move by move, to be solvable under the real rules,
and the moves you get are set tightly around a good solution.
Every 10th level is Very Hard, with almost no room for mistakes.
Each picture you finish goes into your Album.

■ Items for when you're stuck (a new one unlocks every 20 levels)
· +3 moves: three more moves on this level
· Hint: shows the animal that clears the most right now
· Shuffle: sends the animals in the spots to the back of their own lines and brings up the next ones
· Bomb: clears one chosen color from the board
· Undo: takes back your last move
