Pixel Italy is a creative and participatory project that transforms Italy's most iconic and beloved places into permanent digital monuments. Inspired by the "Space Invaders" movement in Paris, founder Guglio brought this visual language to Italy, creating a bridge between the physical beauty of our region and the immortality of pixel art.
The heart of the project is Pixel Globes: open digital worlds where every user can actively contribute. The underlying idea is simple yet powerful: "One pixel is a memory, a thousand pixels are history."
Explorable Worlds (Pixel Globes)
Currently, the platform hosts three main worlds that are constantly expanding:
Gardaland Pixel Globe: Italy's most famous amusement park, told pixel by pixel, where rollercoaster memories become art.
Movieland Pixel Globe: Live cinema comes to life on a collaborative canvas where every frame is created by users.
Lake Garda Pixel Globe: The crystal-clear waters and sunsets of Italy's largest lake, immortalized in pixelated form.
How the Collaboration Works
Pixel Italy isn't just a gallery to observe, but a collective work:
Choose a favorite place: Identify an iconic location you'd like to see transformed.
Place your pixel: Participate in the construction of the digital monument.
Share your memory: Make your experience part of the brand's historical memory.
