Libellula is an app designed to guide visitors on discovery journeys accessible to everyone, with a particular focus on neurodivergent individuals. The app's initial development focuses on the 12 monumental trees of Lucca's Botanical Garden, but plans are to expand the possibilities to include other cultural sites in Lucca.
Through Augmentative and Alternative Communication strategies, techniques, and tools, visitors are led on a journey of information, games, and activities that facilitate a connection with the things they observe and place them at the center of adventures of learning and beauty.
Visitors discover, learn, have fun, and gain a personal experience of how beauty and culture are crucial to health and well-being.
Libellula does its part to make culture accessible and to recognize everyone's right to beauty.
The Libellula app was created as part of the project of the same name, Libell.u.l.a (LiberieLeggeri Unici Liberamente Autonomi) - Fund for the inclusion of people with autism spectrum disorders pursuant to the Prime Ministerial Decree of July 29, 2022.
