Read the Bible as close to the original text as possible, yet in an easy-to-understand way.

Plain Bible is a free Bible app that allows you to read the Hebrew Old Testament and the Greek New Testament in Korean literal and refined literal translations, and compare them verse by verse with various ancient textual traditions.

It provides both a ‘literal translation’ that preserves the sentence structure of the original text and a ‘refined literal translation’ that has been polished for general readers to read comfortably. You can read the text first using the refined literal translation, and for any verses you are curious about, you can examine the literal translation, the original text, and other traditions side by side.

- Complete Greek New Testament from SBLGNT
- Septuagint (LXX) Old Testament and Book of Books
- Complete Samaritan Pentateuch
- Complete Aramaic Pentateuch from the Targum Onkelos
- Complete Book of Enoch from Ge'ez
- Ancient text traditions within the scope of inclusion, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls and Peshita

All Bible texts can be read without logging in. Email login is optional and used only to synchronize reading history and notes across multiple devices. There are no advertisements or paid features.
