Plain Silver lets you pay for coin-operated laundry with your phone. This app works on all laundry machines with the Plain Silver logo. Even if the laundry room is deep in the basement, it still works. Plain Silver talks to the machines via Bluetooth - so it works even when you have no internet connection. Just preload Plain Silver with 10 or 20 dollars, and you're set to go.

I was satisfied with the service but today I wanted to do laundry early in the morning and added $50 at 7:20am. Not only the $50 were not added to my account in the app, but they have changed me twice the $50 today, it's pending in my credit card. I reached out to them via email and no answer, instead another email with a new receipt with the second charge I mentioned. This is really frustrating. I have been charged twice and those $100 are not even showing in the app. I want my money back!

The app itself is not great. It is convenient but I have a few complaints. The only time you have any options regarding your account is when you first open the app, at which time you are forced to deposit either $10 or $20 (no other option). If you have to re-install the app for any reason, any account balance left over will have to be manually moved to the new one by a support team because it does not associate your email as a transferable account. Things could improve if it were more like venmo or other online money transfer services (i.e you make an account which you can access from almost anywhere) and if the app itself had more options for uploading funds. It seems like the whole operation is run by very few people, HOWEVER, they were very prompt with assisting me when I had a problem with my account balance (I had to re-instal the app and lost my balance) and were able to transfer my wayward funds. TLDR: More options, don't re-install or you will lose your balance, support team was prompt and helpful

A very handy app when its working but often more problematic than useful. When its working it's a great app, but I've experienced several issues. First there have been several occasions where it has taken my money and not started the wash cycle - they have always credited my account when i inform them but still frustrating. Second when I got a new phone after an old one broke I could not find a way to log in and access they money i had previously loaded onto the app.
