Air pollution causes millions of premature deaths every year. Today, air quality monitoring is mostly performed via large governmental stations, but their data are not published in real time and the mesh is not dense enough to quickly detect pollution peaks and analyze the causes.
PlanetWatch is a global network of air quality sensors and environmentally-conscious people. PlanetWatchers buy and deploy air quality sensors outside their homes or carry them while moving in the city or traveling. This approach enables us to quickly deploy low-cost, dense, real-time sensing networks that effectively complement the governmental infrastructure.

People having connectivity issues should check out planetwatch on reddit or telegram for support. There's a sequence to getting it to work. Atmotube installed first, install its multiple firmware updates, close and stop it, install this app, register. Transactions may not work in sleep mode, so if that's the case install a screen always on app if settings won't allow screen always on. It's buggy and works better with newer phones and Android OS, but it can usually be made to work.

For best results on the planet watch app you should go to developer settings on your phone and adjust your settings. This requires research for your type of device. The issue is not with the planet watch app. It's with the settings on your phone. Also you should download one off the apps in the play store that keeps the screen on 24/7. When mining it's best to use an old phone that you don't use anymore. I hope this helps.

Sometimes I can't minimize the app. Pressing the three lines at the bottom left of the screen doesn't do anything. I have to forcefully close the application and open it again. A different problem, random disconnects while always keeping my Atmotube close to my phone. The app is unrealiable and with so many issues to be fixed. Please fix them
