About this app

BotanAI is a plant identification and care app for houseplant owners and gardeners. It identifies plants from photos, tracks watering schedules, and adjusts care recommendations based on local weather.

Plant Identification
- Identifies plants from your photos using on-device computer vision
- Falls back to Plant.id and Pl@ntNet cloud services for difficult identifications

Privacy
- Identification tries your device first; photos go to cloud services (Pl@ntNet, Plant.id) only when needed for a more accurate result
- No account or sign-in is required to use the app
- Community and per-plant voice features can be turned off in Settings
- Delete all your data anytime by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling

Plant Database
The app recognizes common houseplants including Monstera, Pothos, Snake Plant, Fiddle Leaf Fig, Peace Lily, Spider Plant, Philodendron, Calathea, and many succulents and herbs. The cloud identification service extends coverage to a much larger species database for outdoor and rare plants.
