So far, my experience has been good. I like playing Diablo Immortals more with the Backbone. I have a Samsung Galaxy A71 which is not on the works with Android list, but meets the criteria. The Backbone didn't pick up that my phone was attached until I downloaded the app and allowed notifications. After that, everything was fine.

Functions well. But, I've noticed when I play play zenless zone zero My phone gets extremely hot while using the controller. It doesn't matter if I'm charging my phone through the controller or not. Could just be the specific game I'm playing. If I play the game without the controller. Everything is fine. I'm using a pixel 6 pro.
