About this game

Fruit Hugs is a gentle merge game. Slide your finger to aim and lift it to drop a fruit friend into the bowl. When two matching friends touch, they hug and turn into the next friend up the chain: two blueberries make a cherry, two cherries make a strawberry, and so on through lime, plum, orange, apple, peach, pineapple and melon, all the way to a watermelon.

There are three ways to play. In Classic, you keep the pile below the line at the top of the bowl for as long as you can. In Zen, the round never ends: when the bowl fills up, the highest friends float away to make room. In Daily Bowl, the friends arrive in the same order for everyone on that day, and playing on consecutive days builds a streak.

Every round earns hearts. Hearts unlock illustrated scenes such as Mint Meadow, Deep Ocean and Starry Night, and different bowls to play in. Hearts are earned only by playing.

The Fruit Friends set and all three ways to play are free. The optional Friend Pack, a one-time in-app purchase, adds five more sets of friends: Sweet Treats, Ocean Pals, Cosmic Buddies, Garden Blooms and Cozy Critters. Purchases sit behind a grown-ups check, and the pack can be restored from Settings.

Each friend you grow for the first time is added to the Friend book. There are also stickers to earn, play statistics, and a list of your ten highest scores kept on the device.

In Settings you can switch sounds, music and vibration on or off, show or hide the aim guide, turn on calm motion, use a left-handed layout and make the text bigger.

The game works without an internet connection. It has no adverts, no accounts and no subscriptions, and it does not collect any data.

What’s new

New: the Friend Pack. Fruit Friends and all three modes stay free. Five more friend sets (Sweet Treats, Ocean Pals, Cosmic Buddies, Garden Blooms and Cozy Critters) can be unlocked with a one-time purchase, behind a grown-ups check. Restore it any time from Settings.
