About this app

PlayTime Guard helps parents manage how long children play games on Android.

For parents only — set up with a Parent PIN, add games like Roblox, set daily time limits, and games lock automatically when time runs out.

Features
• Add any installed game and set a daily allowance (e.g. 60 minutes/day)
• Automatic lock when play time reaches zero
• Parent controls: Lock now, Unlock, add +15 / +30 / +60 minutes
• Assist Mode for normal phones — overlay block + tamper alerts
• Guard Mode for dedicated child phones (factory reset + QR setup) — strongest lock
• Tamper detection — if protection is disabled, games lock and parent is notified
• Optional hide app icon with parent notification access
• All data stored locally on device

Permissions explained
• Usage Access — measure play time for games you choose
• Display over other apps — show lock screen on blocked games (Assist Mode)
• Device Admin — extra step before uninstall; tamper detection
• Notifications — alert parent if protection is changed

Important
Assist Mode cannot fully prevent uninstall on a shared phone. For uninstall blocking without factory reset, use Google Family Link (guide included in app). Guard Mode on a dedicated child device provides the strongest protection.

PlayTime Guard declares child_monitoring and shows an in-app disclosure before monitoring begins.
