About this app

Plickers lets you poll your class for free, without the need for student devices. Just give each student a card (a “paper clicker”), and use your Android smartphone or tablet to scan them to do instant checks-for-understanding, exit tickets, and impromptu polls. Best of all, your data is automatically saved, student-by-student, at plickers.com.

Happy teaching!

New version is clumsy and counter intuitive. The only update needed was a new coat of paint, but the devs took it way too far. Example, clicking on a question opens up a side menu for more options, but clicking on the right side arrow of a question takes you to a new page for options. How does that make sense? I would honestly consider upgrading based on the old version, but new version makes even using it for free a tough choice.

This app used to be incredibly helpful for quick formative assessment but the recent changes have made it incredibly cumbersome. I can no longer add questions from my phone, and my phone is unable to show me individual student responses in real time. I have used this app for years and advocated for it as way to provide useful formative data. I am very disappointed with the recent changes

Old=Hooked, New=See Ya! What happened? I can't make questions on the go now? Really? What am I paying for again? The graph & reveal functions also only work on the first question ONLY then you are tied to the computer for the duration of the review. After 100 questions I'm over it! I've emailed the company back and forth and all I've gotten is they are working on it with no updates and no fixes. I'm working it out with my institution to switch apps out soon. I'll not miss the "new" version.
