About this app

PlugCam turns your compatible Android Automotive (Google Built-In) vehicle's camera recordings into a video app on its own screen. Every drive and every camera, sorted and ready to watch whenever you're parked.

If your car records its cameras to a USB drive, PlugCam finds those clips and lays them out the way a streaming app would: your latest drive up top, then today's drive, earlier this week, and every day before. Each tile shows its camera, time and length, and where you were.

EVERY CAMERA, ONE TAP APART
Switch between the front, rear, left and right cameras and stay on the same moment. See a scrape in the parking lot from all four sides, or follow a drive from start to finish as one video.

YOUR DRIVE, IN STEP WITH THE VIDEO
PlugCam records the car's speed, and an EV's battery power, alongside the cameras. Watch them change as the video plays, with a graph along the scrubber you can tap to jump to any moment.

DRIVES BY PLACE
Turn on Location and your drives are named by where they went, like "Fort Wayne, IN → Columbia City, IN", so the drive you're looking for is easy to find. Tag a clip ("Home", "Job site") to find it again later.

BACKED UP ON ITS OWN
Clips back up to your PlugLog account on Wi-Fi while the car is on, from the cameras you choose. Tap Back up on any clip or drive and every camera of that moment goes up and is kept for good. Kept videos are never deleted to make room for newer ones. You can watch everything later on PlugLog's website or phone app, and share a moment with a link.

YOUR DRIVES, TOO
With your OK, PlugCam also backs up your drives (route, distance and speed, and an EV's battery power) to your PlugLog account, so each video sits on its drive.

MADE FOR THE CAR
PlugCam plays video only while you're parked. It never deletes anything from your car's drive: the car's own camera keeps recording as it always does.

WHAT YOU NEED
• A car with Google built-in (Android Automotive) whose cameras record clips to a USB drive. PlugCam is tested on the Chevrolet Silverado EV, with more vehicles coming.
• A free account at plugcam.app (the same account as PlugLog). Sign in on the car by scanning a QR code with your phone.
• Watching clips on the car needs no account. Cloud backup is part of PlugLog Pro, which includes 100 GB of video storage shared by all your vehicles, with more available.

PRIVACY
Where your car has been stays on the car unless you turn on drive backup. Your videos are private to your account unless you choose to share one. Learn more at plugcam.app.
