What a fantastic tool. The new version of the hardware (and app) provides decent upgrades over v1 and so far, I'm very impressed. It really helps with not only physical cable fault finding but the IP tools and tests can really speed up network troubleshooting. Essential and for the very reasonable cost of €250, you get a lot. Closest comparison I can think of is the Fluke LinkIQ costing over 10 times as much.

While I like the PocketEthernet and make good use of it, the app UI is just atrocious. Can we please get a Pocketethernet 3 with a complete UI overhaul?

Initial tests of the Pocket Ethernet 2 device seem promising. I'm having trouble with the VLAN test results though. The manual shows being able to see the inbound VLANs present, in the example there are two VLANs on the port. However, my app is only showing me the outgoing VLAN tagging options. I have checked for updates and it appears to have the newest version. It actually shows a lot more information than much more expensive testers I have used.
