Guessing ruins good leaf. Teafinity is a tea timer with the numbers already in it. Sencha at 175F, 90 seconds. English Breakfast at 212F, 4 minutes. The brew timer and 30 teas are free. The full library and the AI tea identifier are the paid part.

30 teas with the brewing data already entered. Water temperature in F and C, steep time, and how much leaf to how much water. Black tea, green tea, white tea, oolong tea, pu-erh and herbal tea are all in the free 30. Nothing to type in.

The tea timer, Western style. Pick a tea, tap once, put the phone down. Allow notifications and the steep timer keeps counting while you do something else, then tells you when the steep is done.

Every brew you finish is saved to your history automatically. Your tea collection and favorites build as you go, with nothing to log by hand.

WHAT PREMIUM ADDS

The full library. 176 teas, plus seasonal teas that rotate through the year.

AI photo identification. Scan loose leaf tea or a packet with the camera to identify tea by photo. Teafinity names the tea and opens its brewing data. If the tea identifier cannot place one, you can request it.

Gongfu timers across the full library. Every infusion gets its own clock and its own length, so a gongfu tea that wants 30 seconds, then 40, then 50 is not one flat countdown repeated five times.

Tea requests. Ask for a tea the library does not have yet. New teas and guides land every month.

WHAT IS IN THE LIBRARY

Green tea, black tea, oolong tea, white tea, pu-erh and herbal tea. 176 teas in all, each with its own water temperature, steep time and leaf-to-water ratio, so you are not hunting through a tea temperature chart mid-steep. The free 30 span all six kinds. Premium opens the rest.

COMMON QUESTIONS

What do I get without paying? The tea brewing timer, 30 teas with full brewing data, favorites, your tea collection, your brew history, a daily insight, and recommendations. It is not a trial, so there is nothing to cancel.

Does it need an account? No. Open it and brew.

Does the timer keep running if I leave the app? Yes, if you allow notifications. The steep countdown keeps running in the background and tells you when the steep is finished.

Are there ads? No. There are no ads anywhere in the app.

What does premium cost? Premium is a yearly plan or a weekly plan. Google Play shows the price in your own currency before anything is charged.

How do I cancel? In Google Play, at any time. If you get the trial, the yearly plan renews automatically when it ends unless you cancel first.

People who buy tea worth brewing properly and are tired of digging the numbers out of a blog post halfway through a steep.

Ratings and reviews

This app is $47.99 AUD per year. Why? Edit; the pictures are wrong, they look ai generated. If the pictures are wrong I seriously doubt the identification feature works. What does 'daily insights' even mean? 120 teas isn't an impressive library.

Most features are inaccessible unless you pay. The price is unreasonably high. It's tea, guys.

i love on how the UI is same vibe with the tea simple and neat and the recos of the tea is good, I'm researching about tea recos until I stumble on this one, I look down on this app first until I've seen the tips of it and the health benefits that the tea gives
