PocketLab is a wireless sensor for exploring the world and building science experiments. We built PocketLab for the curious explorers, educators, students, and makers to bring science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) to life like never before.
Features
PocketLab connects with a single button to your smartphone or tablet and instantly streams measurement data that you can see and record. PocketLab measures acceleration, force, angular velocity, magnetic field, pressure, altitude, and temperature. Using our cloud software, you can easily analyze your data, create graphs, and integrate your data with other software. PocketLab has the same features as lab equipment that costs thousands of dollars but is low cost and intuitive to use.

We are scientists, engineers, and teachers. We are passionate about getting science out of the lab and into the hands of students and enthusiasts.

Why must I let the app know my location in order to pair?? It will not pair with the PocketLab device unless I have GPS on AND allow the app access to my location. Absurd! Other than that, the app & product work fine; just like the iOS app. I would prefer pairing "the old fashioned way. My phone can see PocketLab's Bluetooth signal just fine. The PocketLab itself is super cool though...

Hi Hans, thanks for the feedback. The location permission for accessing the phone's Bluetooth came with an update on Android's side. We've recently updated the Android app to fully support our PocketLab Notebook platform and the permissions are handled differently now. Proximity connect doesn't work. Cannot use my $300 air sensor with Android. Using webapp to connect shows zero noise pm 2.5 data so the sensor is clearly not functioning either. Not obvious if upgrading firmware is even possible. Overall a garbage experience.

I purchased the Pocketlab Weather device to use in the field and it doesn't Bluetooth pair or function at all without an Internet connection. This is not shared in any of the product documentation or ad copy. Avoid this product if you do fieldwork.
