Ratings and reviews

A must have for so many if us. Its perfect! Its free, has ZERO ads, I do not have any issues with it as I have read in some other reviews. I 1st make sure which build and how large the build can be to run smoothly on my hardware. I use a Samsung S25 Ultra which includes the great Snap-Dragon processor and even with that I still must stay in my lane, and not run something that needs to run on a full size machine. Simply go to Gemini and ask it which versions fit your phones hardware.

I love it, the 2B models are the best if you ask me. It doesn't mess up your phone, mine's an S25 Ultra. I have no problems downloading and trying models. I wish they'd update pals, giving them their own pictures and stuff. Also, better TTS models, the ones they offer are trash. The option to use your own TTS isn't there, even though I heard it was.

Great app! Could have a couple of options added to it that are in LM Playground: 1. Select a model folder. This way I can use models downloaded with other apps. 2. Internet access. I get it that this is local only. With small models they become much more powerful with internet. MCPs might be even better although it's best to have tools directly integrated. One more thing, some of us have v1 endpoints running, so being able to use those as models would be awesome! Seems to be a great idea. o

• llama.cpp capability discovery: PocketPal now detects a connected server's vision support and context size, and warns when a chat runs out of room.
• Internet search in chat: Pals can search the web and read pages. Bring your own key (Brave, Tavily, Exa).
