About this app

Pocket Scanner is an offline PDF scanner and document scanner. Scan documents to PDF in seconds, sign them, add a watermark and lock them with a password — with no account and no cloud. Your documents never leave your phone.

WORKS COMPLETELY OFFLINE
Scanning, signing, locking and every PDF tool run on your phone. There is no sign-up and no sync, and your documents are never uploaded. Scan on a flight, on the metro, or with mobile data switched off.

SCAN ANYTHING TO PDF
Point the camera and Pocket Scanner finds the page, straightens the perspective and crops it for you. Enhance and filter each page, or set the corners by hand.

SIGN A PDF ON YOUR PHONE
Sign with your finger, or photograph your signature on paper — the paper is removed automatically, so only the ink goes on the page. Drag the signature anywhere, pinch to resize it, and a live preview shows exactly how the page will export. Sign once and it is stamped on every export of that document.

LOCK A PDF WITH A PASSWORD
Export a password-protected PDF, encrypted with AES, so only the person you give the password to can open it. The password is never stored and never leaves your phone.

ID CARD SCANNER
Scan the front and the back of a card and get both sides on one A4 page — the layout people actually need for an ID card, a licence or an insurance card.

ADD YOUR OWN WATERMARK
Mark every page with CONFIDENTIAL, DRAFT, "For KYC purpose only" or your own words, diagonally across the page or as a discreet footer line. The mark is drawn into the page, so it cannot be cropped off.

ADS, KEPT LIGHT
The app shows ads from Google AdMob. Ads never appear while you are scanning or cropping, and they never see your documents — like any Google ad, they use standard ad data such as your device's advertising ID. A single one-time purchase removes ads for good.

What’s new

Edit any page after you scan it.

Tap a page in a document to crop it by dragging the corners, rotate it, or rescan just that page. Signing, watermarks and watermark removal have moved into the ⋮ menu, so the page list stays clear.

You can also lock an exported PDF with a password — it is encrypted with AES, and the password is never stored or sent anywhere.

Fixes: buttons no longer cut off their labels on smaller screens.
