Heard that Google Podcasts is going away, so I'm trying to find a replacement that doesn't require me to be a tech guru to make it work. This is the best i have found. Intuitive interface with the controls I need. I tried some of the other podcast apps and they had me wanting to pitch my phone at a wall. Not Procast. I like it. It does what I need and it does it well. Long may it continue.

As Google Podcasts is being subsumed into the increasingly chaotic YouTube Music app (which currently has limited podcast functionality) I have been looking for a new podcast app and this one is clean and streamlined and really an equal to Google Podcasts. Streamline and week thought out and with a developer who responds to queries. Great work dev ;)

It's the closest to a Google podcast replacement I can find, but some issues: 1) major: the inbox is only scanning a subset of my podcast subscriptions for new content.. I have to manually go into each one to help it remember.. Then it suddenly shows the new episodes in my inbox. 2) minor: no way to skip to the next podcast from the player.. Lot of stuffing around in the interface. 3) minor: just in general there are too many times I need 2or3 clicks to do something that should be doable in 1
