Ratings and reviews

Works very well for learning Vietnamese words, and I love that it has examples from both of the main dialects. I have been using it alongside Duolingo and I think it has dramatically helped, as Duolingo doesn't really offer any explanations for what it teaches you. Now I get a deeper understanding of the words that Podglot shares with Duolingo, and learn a lot of extra ones as well. This app also enforces learning accents much more heavily because if you miss one, it will count it wrong.

I used to know Viet from my parents, but I've lost all grasp on grammar... I've tried Ling and Learn Viet w/ Annie. Podglot is my favorite by far. My parents were from southern Vietnam, so the pronunciations match (so far) exactly to my family's, huge plus. No gamification whackiness, just straight to the point and down to business. TL;DR If you're looking for flashcards with spot on Southern dialect pronunciations, try this app. 5/5 would recommend to a friend
