GENIUS PAD is a drum pad sampler built for making beats right where you are — no laptop, no subscription, no two-hour tutorial before your first sound. A dark, hardware-inspired interface that responds the instant you touch it: open the app and you're already playing.

PLAY
16 pads on screen, 4 banks — 64 sounds from one kit under your fingers at once. How hard a hit lands depends on exactly where you tap the pad, just like real velocity-sensitive hardware, not a flat loud/soft toggle. Switching banks is instant, even mid-groove.

LOOP LIKE A HARDWARE LOOPER
One button records your first layer the moment you tap it. Tap again to close the layer and it starts playing back — tap once more while it plays and you're overdubbing a new layer on top. Drums, then a bassline on the pads, then percussion — build a whole groove live, layer by layer. Quantize snaps every hit to a steady grid even when your timing isn't perfect. ROLL turns a simple hold into an auto-repeating fill, in time, with one finger.

STEP SEQUENCER
Want to program a pattern by hand instead of tapping it out live? One pattern covers all 64 sounds in your kit at once, 16 or 32 steps long, with per-step velocity and probability — so patterns feel alive instead of robotic from the first tap. And it's saved automatically: close the app, come back later, your pattern is still there.

PIANO MODE
Turn any pad into a chromatic keyboard and play real melodies with the exact same sound as your drum hit — hold down several keys at once for genuine chords. SHOT mode fires a quick one-shot; HOLD sustains the note for as long as your finger's on the key, then fades out with the pad's own natural release.

SAMPLE YOUR OWN SOUNDS
Record your voice, a sound from the street, a creaky door — trim it right on screen with your finger and it's a playable pad. No prep work on a computer required.

MIDI IN/OUT OVER USB
Plug into a computer or another MIDI device and Genius Pad works as a full controller while listening for incoming notes and control changes at the same time — with live visual feedback on screen either way.

BUILD YOUR OWN KITS, SHARE THEM WITH EVERYONE
Build a kit from your own samples in the free web-based kit builder on the project's site (easier with a mouse and keyboard than on a phone), publish it to the community catalog, and browse and download kits other people built — all straight from inside the app.

RECORD YOUR WHOLE PERFORMANCE
A dedicated REC button captures everything you play to a file, not just whatever's looping — hit stop and you've got a finished take ready to share.

15 LANGUAGES
The entire interface is translated, right down to full RTL support for Arabic. Genius Pad just picks up your system language automatically.

No sprawling menus, no hundred-button DAW crammed onto a phone screen — three screens (PAD/SEQ/PIANO) and everything you need in plain sight from the first tap. Genius Pad is the sketch of a beat you finish before your train ride is over.
