About this app

Learning poems for school is usually awkward — you sit over the textbook, repeat the same quatrain ten times, and at the blackboard it slips away anyway. Learn Poems is a small app that helps you actually learn a poem properly, without panicked cramming the night before.

The method is simple: instead of memorizing the whole text at once, you go through four stages.

First you just read the poem and listen to it — no pressure.
Then you learn it stanza by stanza: the app hides part of the words and you fill them in from memory.
After that — the whole poem, with more and more gaps.
At the end — a final pass where only the skeleton of the text remains. To pass, you need to recall 95%.

In practice, learning a medium-length poem takes 20–40 minutes, and at the end you actually remember it. Not "until tomorrow's class," but properly.

What's inside:

— A catalog of thousands of well-known poems. Search by line, author, or mood.
— If you got something rare or non-standard — paste your own text and the app will split it into stanzas for you.
— Audio for many well-known poems: listen while you study or just to catch the rhythm.
— Voice recording — read the poem out loud and listen back. It genuinely helps.
— Reminders after a few days, a week, and a month, so what you learn by Wednesday doesn't evaporate by Monday. Without repetition, half the effort is wasted.
— Hints: if a word won't come back — peek at the first letter or reveal it fully. No "I'm cheating" feeling.

Who it's for:

— students whose literature class still requires learning things by heart;
— anyone preparing for exams and tired of re-reading the same thing in circles;
— anyone who just wants to finally learn a favorite poem and keep it in their head, not in their bookmarks.

Learn Poems turns memorization into a clear process — where progress is visible and the next step is obvious.

Poetry is a good thing. Cramming is not. We tried to separate one from the other.
