point8 Location & Welfare Monitor gives the usual Location & Navigation capability associated with Loc8 Code, but also optionally helps with peace of mind and safety for workers in remote farm and field locations through welfare monitoring with alerts to designated contacts. (The app can be used for Loc8 Codes even if welfare monitoring is never used.)

SAFETY FIRST:
point8 Location & Welfare Monitor was designed with the support of NEWKD & the Irish Dept. of Agriculture specifically for agricultural workers, field technicians, and utility workers who work alone in remote or isolated locations. The app optionally monitors worker welfare during active sessions, automatically alerting remote server with Loc8 Code information if something goes wrong.

When monitoring is active:
• Loc8 Codes are shared with the server
• Automatic alerts are sent to designated contacts via the server
• One-tap emergency SOS notification
• Smart alerts only when needed

BUILT FOR FARMERS:
Commissioned by North East West Kerry Development (NEWKD) and funded by the Irish Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, point8 Welfare Monitor was developed with direct input from the farming community to address real Farm & Rural safety concerns in agricultural work.

EASY TO USE:
1. Location & Navigation with Loc8 Codes, even if Monitoring is not used.
2. For Monitoring, add 2 emergency contacts (family, colleagues, supervisors)
3. Optionally start welfare monitoring when working alone
4. The app handles the rest automatically
5. Emergency contacts receive alerts if needed
6. Stop monitoring when finished working

PRIVACY & CONTROL:
• Location is only monitored during active monitoring sessions
• You control when monitoring starts and stops
• Emergency contacts are only notified during designated alerts
• Your location data is not retained after monitoring is ended and is never shared publicly
• Full transparency - you always choose if Welfare Monitoring is active.
