About this app

AltitudeTracker is a weather and instrumentation app for Android Automotive OS designed for any vehicle. It displays real-time weather conditions, voice weather alerts, and analyzes how weather and terrain affect your EV's energy consumption — directly on your car's infotainment screen, no phone needed.

VOICE WEATHER ALERTS
Receive official severe weather warnings read aloud while you drive. The app also alerts you by voice when you approach the snow line or 0°C isotherm (within 100 meters of altitude), and approximately one hour before sunrise or sunset. Voice alerts can be toggled on or off in settings.

LIVE WEATHER CONDITIONS
Check the current temperature, wind speed and direction, humidity, atmospheric pressure, visibility, UV index, air quality index (AQI), snow line and 0°C isotherm at your location. A wind arrow relative to your heading shows whether the wind is blowing head-on, from behind, or from the side. Weather data updates automatically as you drive.

NAVIGATION INSTRUMENTS
GPS compass on the map with a red/white needle and bearing in degrees. Inclinometer showing road slope in percentage and angle in degrees in real time while driving. Monitor GPS altitude with an elevation profile that builds along your route, showing maximum, minimum, and current elevation.

WEATHER AND ENERGY CORRELATION
Understand how weather affects your EV's range. Monitor energy consumption and regeneration in real time in kWh/100km alongside temperature, wind, and altitude changes. See how headwinds, cold temperatures, and elevation impact your efficiency — and how much energy you recover on descents.

TRIP HISTORY AND EXPORT
Every trip is automatically logged with full data: weather conditions, elevation gain and loss, distance, average consumption, and more. Export trip data in CSV format for further analysis. View-only mode lets you check all data without recording the trip.
