About this app

“Jotted” is a simple notebook for every day: the shopping list, a recipe, what to pack for the holidays, gift ideas, the points for a meeting. Your notes stay on your phone, and in an encrypted online backup if you want one.

Write a note, give it a category if you like, and the app sorts everything by itself: categories, subcategories, a tree.

One notepad for everything: reminders, class notes, meeting minutes, a personal journal, recipes, writing ideas, keeping track of repairs or appointments.

WHAT THE APP DOES
• Notes sorted by category and subcategory, or not sorted at all.
• Offline dictation: you speak, the text appears, even in airplane mode.
• A “New note” tile in Quick Settings, and shortcuts on the app icon.
• Sharing both ways: send a note to another app, or receive a text, a link, a photo or a file that becomes a note.
• Import from Google Keep, Evernote and text or Markdown files.
• Attachments: photo, video, audio recording, drawing, file.
• Markdown formatting, trash with restore.
• Lock with a code, or with your phone's fingerprint, face or PIN.
• Export to text, CSV or PDF, and full backup to restore on another phone.
• Optional online backup, encrypted on the phone: 50 GB, 200 GB or 1 TB, videos included.
• Light and dark theme, your choice of color, 89 languages.

ONLY YOU CAN READ YOUR NOTES
Without the online backup, nothing leaves your phone. With it, everything is encrypted on the phone before it leaves, with a password that never leaves the device: nobody but you can read your notes. Dictation happens on the phone; your voice goes nowhere.
