The app works fine as long as you follow the instructions. Start with asking Google to talk to smart tree and go from there. If you go out of order, this won't work as you can see from all the other reviews. Once you're fully connected make sure to read the page on voice commands because they aren't what you'd expect them to be. Which is why I'm not giving this a 5. The fact that I have to say, "Hey Google, talk to smart tree, ON" is super ridiculous and annoying. But at least it works.

No standalone app to control tree. Why is there not an app with just simple on/off/etc. buttons. All my other smart devices; lights, switches, coffee maker, stereo, etc.; they all have apps with buttons to push. Or they have buttons through smartthings or Google home that I can just push on my phone to control them. They can be controlled by voice as well, they are just not limited to voice only, like shackles. Don't bother emailing vendor, address not found.

Not very user friendly, app closes with using home wifi and won't connect with mobile data. In order to get this app to work...turn off your home wifi and connect to your tree's wifi which under your wifi options will show as ST and some numbers. The wifi password for your tree is on the wall plug in. Once connected to tree's wifi, then set up using Polygroup app. Problem solved for us. We had to figure this out on our own! No instructions were given.
