About this app
PolySpeaker Broadcast is the guide's app for Poly Speaker, a smartphone-based Tour Guide Audio System.
Speak to your entire tour group using your own smartphone, while participants listen on their own smartphones using the free PolySpeaker Listener app.
Poly Speaker provides a simple alternative to traditional whisper systems and dedicated receivers.
Simple setup
The guide uses:
Their own smartphone with PolySpeaker Broadcast
A small pocket Wi-Fi router
The router creates a local Wi-Fi network for the tour. No internet or mobile connection is required.
The guide's smartphone broadcasts the audio, while the tourists' smartphones receive it through the PolySpeaker Listener app.
No receivers to carry
With a traditional tour guide audio system, the guide may have to carry receivers for the entire group, even when only some participants actually use them.
With Poly Speaker, the guide carries one small pocket router, regardless of whether a few participants or up to 30 participants use the audio.
The tourists use smartphones they already carry.
Easy tour joining
For each tour, the guide creates a tour name in the Broadcast app. The app generates a QR code.
Participants scan the QR code with PolySpeaker Listener to join that specific tour.
Automatic reconnection
If a participant temporarily loses communication with the local Wi-Fi network, the Listener app is designed to automatically reconnect to the same tour when communication is restored.
A RECONNECT button is also available for manual reconnection.
Participants can use AUDIO ON/OFF to mute the audio and LEAVE/JOIN to leave or switch between tours.
Designed for guided tours
Poly Speaker works indoors or outdoors and does not depend on internet connectivity.
PolySpeaker Broadcast is for tour guides. PolySpeaker Listener is free for tour participants.
The Broadcast app can be used without a subscription in consecutive 15-minute sessions, making it easy to test Poly Speaker with a group.

What’s new
Our app does not have any restricted content. User can broadcast for 15 minutes freely and if user does not have subscription broadcast will stop. User can quit app and relaunch in order to start broadcast again. With subscription, broadcast runs uninterrupted.
