About this app

Pompai is a bill splitter and tip calculator for group meals and shared expenses. Snap a restaurant bill or receipt to read the amount without typing every number. Subtract money already in the group pot, divide the rest evenly, and share the original bill or receipt photo with the split result. Everyone can see the bill behind the numbers.

Use Pompai after a restaurant meal, a team dinner, a golf outing, a club meetup, a party, an event or a trip. If your group has collected dues or set aside a shared budget, apply that money first so each person only pays their share of what remains.

1. SNAP THE BILL FOR AN EASIER SPLIT
Take a photo of a restaurant bill or receipt, or choose one from your phone. Reading amounts from the photo saves you from copying each number by hand. Pompai reads the amount on your device and shows the detected receipt rows for you to review. Check and correct the total, or enter it by hand without a photo.

2. ACCOUNT FOR TIPS AND SHARED MONEY
Choose whether the tip is already included, should be added or is not needed. When a subtotal is available, you can use it as the tip base. Enter the group pot and number of people. Pompai divides the remaining amount evenly and accounts for uneven cents so the shares add up.

Example: a bill of $84.40 with the tip already included, minus a $20 group pot, leaves $64.40. Split between four people, each pays $16.10.

3. SHARE THE BILL AND THE BREAKDOWN
Send the original receipt photo together with a separate image of the split result through your phone's share menu. Choose your group chat or another app yourself. You can also share or copy the text result. The people receiving the images can review the original bill and how the amount was divided.

SIMPLE TO START
No account or sign-in is required. Receipt recognition runs on your device; Pompai does not upload receipt photos to its own server. The app supports English, Korean and Spanish, with USD, KRW, EUR and GBP amount entry. Currency selection does not convert exchange rates.
