Pompomela was developed exclusively for Lake Constance. Pomponius Mela first mapped Lake Constance around 43 AD in one of the oldest known geographical works - at that time still under the names Lacus Ventus (Obersee) and Lacus Acronius (Untersee). Who else should have been the namesake for the digital sequel around two thousand years later.
