※This description is followed by an English summary.
PONO is a simple game designed to give your overthinking brain a break.
There are no complicated controls or things to remember.
You can start and stop whenever you like.
You can basically play as long as you like, without worrying about the end, until you touch the check mark in the upper right corner.
Of course, there is no winning or losing either.
So you'll always feel on an even keel.
Every time you play, you'll regain that same calm.
[When should I play?]
・When I want to do something but don't want to do anything tedious
・When I want to think while doing something
・When I want to regain my composure
[PONO is a dynamic meditation game. What is "dynamic meditation"?]
Unlike so-called static meditations like zazen, "dynamic meditation" refers to meditation that involves moving your body.
For example...
Have you ever felt high while intently cleaning the bathroom?
Don't you sometimes feel a strange high when you're assembling boxes one after another?
Have you ever had a great idea while washing the dishes or brushing your teeth?
These are all examples of "dynamic meditation."
PONO brings this dynamic meditation to life on your smartphone.
Because it has no end, you can escape from concepts of game or competition and quietly reflect on yourself, whether consciously or unconsciously.
In fact, it has received high praise from meditation and mindfulness experts.
*This system is patented (Patent No. 7289433). "PONO" means "be in harmony with yourself" in Hawaiian.
[How to Play PONO]
Play is very simple.
Simply use the seven switches below to create the numbers that appear on the screen above.
There are four number display modes: "Kanji Numerals," "Blocks," "English Spelling," and "Random."
Choose the one that suits your mood.
It may feel like brain training until you get used to it, but once you get the hang of it, you'll naturally experience the feeling of "dynamic meditation."
After playing, ten random "words" based on the ancient Chinese philosophy of the Ten Heavenly Stems (Jikkan) are displayed to gently soothe your mind.
[PONO Philosophy]
PONO values "don't compete, don't compare, don't fight, don't push yourself."
We provide time to simply return to your own rhythm without letting your emotions get the better of you.
Meditation is said to activate the brain and improve the ability to organize your thoughts.
PONO recreates this "time of quiet calm" within the game.
Please let us know the "calming" you felt by leaving a review or feedback.
(We plan to add new modes little by little in the future.)

PONO is a simple form of play designed to give an overworked mind a gentle rest.
There are no complicated controls and nothing you need to memorize.
You can start anytime, stop anytime, and play entirely at your own pace.
In most cases, the game continues until you tap the check mark in the upper corner —
allowing you to keep playing without worrying about an ending.
There is no winning or losing in PONO.
Because of that, your mind naturally stays neutral.
Each time you play, you can return to a calm, balanced state.
When is PONO helpful?
- When you want to do something, but nothing demanding
- When you want to think while keeping your hands gently occupied
- When you want to regain a sense of calm
What is “Dynamic Meditation”?
Unlike traditional seated meditation, dynamic meditation involves light movement.
Have you ever felt strangely refreshed while cleaning a bathroom?
Or noticed your mood lift while repeatedly assembling boxes?
Or had a good idea come to you while washing dishes or brushing your teeth?
These moments are all examples of dynamic meditation.
PONO brings this experience onto your smartphone.
Because there is no fixed ending, PONO frees you from goals and competition.
Whether you focus intentionally or play absentmindedly,
it allows you to quietly reconnect with yourself.
PONO has also received high praise from professionals in meditation and mindfulness.
*This system is protected by a Japanese patent (Patent No. 7289433).
“PONO” is a Hawaiian word meaning “to be in harmony with oneself.”
