About this app

PF Field replaces the paper on a drill and blast site. Crews record pre-starts, shift production, drill logs, maintenance, training sign-offs and job packs on a phone or tablet, and the records sync to your company's PowderFactor Field portal when the device is back online.

Built for drill and blast contractors working in quarries, mines and wind farms across Australia and New Zealand.

WHAT CREWS DO IN THE APP
• Pre-starts: vehicle and light-vehicle checks with defects flagged on the spot
• Daily log: shift hours, production and fuel, entered as the shift goes
• Drill logs: hole-by-hole depths and measurements against the pattern, with CSV patterns loaded from the office
• Maintenance: service and repair cards against each rig and vehicle
• Training and sign-offs: competencies signed on screen by the trainee and the assessor
• Job packs: site paperwork, permits and customer acceptance signed on the device
• Quick notes: a photo or a line of text attached to the day's work

WORKS WHERE THERE IS NO SIGNAL
Everything is saved on the device first. Records and attachments upload automatically when the device gets a connection again, so a crew in a pit or on a ridge never waits on coverage.

YOUR COMPANY STAYS IN CONTROL
A device only works once an administrator pairs it to your organisation with a one-time code from the Field portal. Crew members sign in with their own PIN, so every record shows who did the work. Lost a device? Remove it in the portal and it is signed out immediately.

THE OFFICE SIDE
Administrators and supervisors review records, manage people, rigs and devices, and export reports from the Field web portal at portal.powderfactor.com. Blast records are kept for the statutory period.

What’s new

• Choose any vehicle at sign-in: drill rigs, light vehicles and plant.
• Rigs now have a Rig Pre-Start at the start of the shift and a Day Close at the end, each signed with your PIN.
• Every pre-start makes a PDF report. Download it from the app, and it's emailed to you and your office.
