About this app

With the PowerProbe app users can get connected to the PowerProbe Maestro, which is a last generation circuit tester used to develop electrical diagnosis in the vehicles.

The PowerProbe app shows the same readings that can be seen in the Maestro display, as well as carry out additional functions, as oscilloscope mode which allows to see different curves on the smartphone or tablet display in real time, being much more practical and intuitive than the numerical results.

Besides those functionalities, the PowerProbe app gives the users additional value, such as data register, allowing the user to save the readings in the smartphone or tablet internal memory and share readings with other people in an easy and quick way.

Another of the great functions of the app is the oscilloscope mode, which allows to see the curves on the smartphone or tablet display in real time, being much more practical and intuitive than the numerical results. Using the oscilloscope mode, users can realize much easier about the performance of the vehicle, than using the numerical results that can be seen on the Maestro.

Ratings and reviews

For everyone complaining about the app not pairing to your probe, turn on your location and Bluetooth. Same deal for the power probe link app if you're trying to pair the draw monitor. For the review, app needs some updates. Can't really see traces in a paired device, applying power shows a trace but not ground. A driver test for modules would be nice too.

NOT WORKING FIXED (Android). I had to search Google for an older version. The version you download from the store is v1.1.0 I searched the app in a generic Google bar and found an older version 1.0.25 and downloaded it. Had to adjust some setting to let my phone download apps from other sources other than play store. But it works with the maestro. Hopefully they have an updated release soon. But this works for now (galaxy s20)

12/22/22Bought the tool with the understanding of the app being able to record data. The app is installs fine but will not do anything past pair device screen. Very disappointing due to the purchase price of this tool. Do better power probe. Update as of March 3rd,23 the app still does not work. I read the newer review about Android 13 my device is android 12 and still no connection. If this is something that is an actual problem Powerprobeshould be making us aware of this issue.
