Taqwa solves this. When prayer time arrives, a full-screen overlay soft-locks your phone, pulling you away from distractions and toward salah. No more accidentally scrolling through Asr. No more "I'll pray after this video."
It's not a hard lock — you're always in control. Need to take an urgent call or handle something important? Just hold to exit. But that conscious effort makes all the difference. Instead of mindlessly skipping prayer, you make a deliberate choice.
HOW IT WORKS
When it's time to pray, Taqwa displays a beautiful full-screen overlay on top of everything. Your phone becomes a reminder, not a distraction. The overlay shows the current prayer, the number of rakats, authentic hadiths about the importance of salah, reminders about the Aakhirah, and Sunnah of the prayer — turning your screen into something that draws you closer to Allah instead of away from Him.
Everything is configurable. Set the overlay duration (default 15 minutes), choose your exit difficulty (easy, medium, or hard hold duration), pick your notification style, and customize it to fit your lifestyle.
Once you've prayed, dismiss the overlay and go back to your day with a clear conscience.
