About this app

Prefux is a multi-user business application that brings your business's field operations to the phone. Cashiers, waiters, delivery drivers, and managers all open the same application; everyone sees their own screen according to their authority.

If you have a Prefux Business Suite account, simply log in with your username. The application will open the correct screen according to your account role.

SALES (POS)

• Search for products by name, stock code (SKU), or barcode — the search runs on the server, and results remain consistent even if the catalog contains thousands of products. • Add to cart, increase or decrease quantity with a single touch.
• Accept payments via cash, card, or bank transfer. • For cash payments, enter the "amount received" and the change will be calculated instantly. • For products sold by unit (meter, kilogram, etc.), the price will be displayed along with the unit. • The amount and tax are always calculated on the server; repeated touches on a weak network will not create a double sale.

RESTAURANT SERVICE

• View the table layout by section; see at a glance whether a table is occupied or empty. • Open a bill for an empty table, and directly enter the bill for a occupied table. • Add items by category or by searching in the menu; • Check portion/extra options (modifiers). • Gather items in the draft first, send them to the kitchen when ready — each station receives its own receipt. • Settle the bill with cash, card, or bank transfer; change is calculated for cash payments. This button is not visible to unauthorized personnel. • The dining area layout refreshes every 15 seconds and with each return to the screen; tables opened by another waiter appear immediately.

COURIER / DELIVERY

• Only see deliveries assigned to you in route order: customer, phone number, address, note, and amount to be collected at the door. • When a new order arrives, the app will notify you with a loud alert; confirm with "Accept". • Follow the steps in order: Received → On my way → Arrived at address → Delivered. "Arrived at address" will be automatically marked as you approach the address. • Turn automatic order taking on or off with the "On duty" switch. The directions button opens the address in your map application. • Enter the amount you collected upon delivery; if the network connection is lost, "try again" will send the same record, preventing the delivery from being recorded twice. • Location: Location permission is required for delivery records. Your location is shared with the business and the customer who placed the order from the moment you receive the order until you deliver it; you will see a persistent alert in the notification bar during this time. Location is not collected outside of delivery, and background location permission is not requested.

SECURITY

• Each business's data is separate; no one can see another business's data. • Authorization is enforced on the server — it's not about a button not being visible, but about the server not granting permission. • All traffic flows over HTTPS. Your session key is stored in the device's secure storage (Keychain / Android Keystore). • Location is used only in the courier role and only while delivery is in progress; background location permission is not requested.

THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

• The application requires an internet connection; it does not work offline. • New accounts cannot be created from within the application. Your business administrator creates your user account from the Prefux web panel. • Which screens you see depends on the permissions granted by your administrator and the modules open in your business.

WHERE DOES OUR NAME COME FROM?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The name Prefux comes from the prefrontal cortex, the foremost region of the brain — the area that allows humans to foresee the future. The prefix "pre-" means both in front and before. That's what our software does: not to record the past, but to help you see what's ahead. It warns you before stock runs out, shows you turnover before the end of the day, and notifies you of products falling to a critical threshold before you even notice.

What’s new

• Upload your menu from a photo: snap the printed menu or pick it from the gallery; items are read, reviewed and added in one tap (manager).
• "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen: reset it via the e-mail link.
• Role permissions: defaults can be removed; only the owner and service accounts stay locked.
• Simpler floor plan: tables are plain coloured boxes; switch to the chairs drawing or a list view from "Appearance".
• Order menu: list or cards, columns, text size, show/hide price.
