Preload is a maintenance, modification and tuning log for motorcycles - built for riders who don't just service their bike, but set it up, modify it and keep a record worth handing over.

A TUNING LOG FOR RIDERS WHO ADJUST
Changed your rebound, raised the forks or rejetted the carb? Log it as an experiment, not a note.
• Record before and after values for each setting - front and rear preload, compression, rebound, sag, fork height, ride height and tyre pressures
• Carburettor tuning too: main and pilot jets, needle, clip position, air/fuel screw, float height and idle speed
• Add your own parameters for anything else you adjust
• Rate each session better, same or worse, with notes on how it rode
• Next time you reach for a clicker, its current value is already filled in, so you can always trace your way back to a setup that worked.

PLAN YOUR NEXT MOD
Go from idea to fitted: note what you want and why, list parts and labour with rough prices, and track each from ordered to in hand. Tick off a fitting checklist, then log the fit - with what it actually cost against the estimate.

MODIFICATIONS, DISCLOSED
Log aftermarket parts with the same care as maintenance - the stock part they replaced and whether they're reversible - so a buyer sees exactly what's been changed.

YOUR BIKE'S WHOLE STORY, ON ONE TIMELINE
Every service, modification, tuning session, tyre change, registration and insurance renewal and piece of gear lands on a single colour-coded timeline, from the day you bought the bike.
• Filter by category to see just the mods, or just the tuning
• See at a glance how long you've owned it, how many events you've logged and what you've spent
• Add what you paid and sold it for, and see what the bike really cost per month, per km and by category
• Tap any entry for the full detail: parts with prices and vendors, typed photos (receipt, before, after), notes and settings changed

A HISTORY REPORT BUYERS CAN TRUST
When it's time to sell, export a clean PDF history report and share it from your phone. It carries the bike's photo and details, total spent and ownership period, every mod with its parts and who fitted it, and every service and tuning session with dates, odometer readings and costs. Product links, planned mods and your purchase and sale prices stay out of it. It works for sold and retired bikes too.

A SCHEDULE THAT FITS YOUR BIKE
Add a bike and answer four quick questions about its drivetrain, cooling, fuel system and clutch. Preload suggests the maintenance that applies, each with a sensible default interval.
• Intervals by distance, by time, or both - due at whichever comes first, the way service manuals are written
• Turn any task on or off, change any interval, or add your own
• Nothing changes in your schedule without you seeing it and choosing it

KNOW WHAT'S DUE
Your garage shows each bike's most urgent item, and every bike lists what's due and overdue. Anything on a time interval - brake fluid, coolant, oil, tyre age, registration and insurance renewals - can remind you before it's due. Preload never guesses how far you've ridden: it shows your last recorded odometer reading and when you recorded it.

TYRES, TRACKED PROPERLY
Record each tyre's brand, model, fitted date and DOT date code. Tyre age counts from when the rubber was made, not when it was fitted.

GEAR GETS ITS OWN LIFECYCLE
Helmets and leathers age even when they look fine. Track replacement by purchase or manufacture date, get reminders for leather conditioning, and link gear to the bikes you wear it with.

Please note: there's no backup or sync yet, so your history lives only on this device - uninstalling the app deletes it. Due dates and intervals are estimates; always follow your bike's service manual.
