Oma-jässälehti is a magazine published by the Pääkaupunkiseudu omaishojat ry for caregivers, those who care for their loved ones, and stakeholders related to family care. The member magazine is published four times a year. The magazines are themed to deal with different topics related to the everyday life of caregivers and provide information about upcoming events and peer support groups. When you become a member of the Capital Region Family Caregivers Association, you can also receive a paper version of the magazine at home.
In the self-talk podcast, caregivers across language barriers talk about why and what kind of support they needed and received in different situations.
Oma-appi also contains contact information for where to turn in the different phases of the family care situation.
The Capital Region Caregivers' Association offers counseling, peer support, recreation and advocacy in Helsinki and Vantaa to those caring for their loved ones.
