About this app
PressWork Mobile is the PressWork editor for your phone and tablet. Not a cut-down version: the same machine, with the interface of a screen you hold in your hand.
THE SAME FILE, NOT A COPY
The .pwk format opens and is created here too. Inside it: the manuscript, notes, synopsis, history and branches. What you close on the phone reopens on the computer exactly as it was, and the other way round. It isn't syncing — it's the same file.
WRITING
The preview is in the text itself: bold, headings, quotes and formulas take shape as you type, with no mode to switch. Focus and typewriter modes. Voice dictation. A command palette and search inside the document; on a tablet it answers the Bluetooth keyboard too.
REVISING
Changes from whoever read your text arrive already rendered — insertions, cuts, replacements, comments — and you accept or reject them one at a time, with your finger. Repetitions light up as you reread. Statistics and goals: words, chapters, standard pages, reading time.
ORGANISING
A library that sits on real files, not rows in a hidden database. A collapsible chapter index. A synopsis card per chapter, each carrying its own status. Notes, snapshots and version history.
PRODUCING
Real exports: PDF, ePub, DOCX, HTML, ICML for InDesign and FDX for Final Draft — the same engines as the desktop. Cover images, photographs inside the document, and a handwritten signature drawn straight onto the PDF.
CLIPPING FROM THE WEB
From a browser, "Share" sends an article into a project, under Research. You choose: the link alone, or the whole article, cleaned up and saved as Markdown, available offline.
NINE LANGUAGES
The interface in Italian, English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Russian, Arabic and Hebrew — with right-to-left writing where it belongs.
A LICENCE IS REQUIRED
PressWork Mobile is included in the PressWork Complete and Team licences, even if you bought yours before release. On its own it is purchased at presswork.it. The app unlocks when you enter the email you bought with.
OFFLINE
What you write stays on your device. No account, no sign-up, no ads and no trackers. The AI assistant works only if you connect it yourself, to the service you choose.
