Prevent 22 is a peer support app built by veterans, for veterans. Named for the 22 veterans we lose every day, it exists to keep you connected with the people who understand what you carry — your battle buddies.

WHAT YOU CAN DO

Check In Daily
Log how you're doing with a quick mood rating. Build a check-in streak that your buddies can see, so when something feels off, the people who have your six know to reach out.

Find Your Battle Buddies
Search for veterans by name, rank, branch, or MOS (11B, 68W, 0311, 2111 — we speak your language). Send a buddy request, get connected, and start the conversation.

Message the People Who Get It
Clean, simple direct messaging with your buddies. No algorithm, no ads, no noise. Just a place to say "how you holdin' up?" and mean it. Push notifications make sure you never miss a message or a buddy request.

Build a Squad
Create or join a small squad of 4-6 veterans for group accountability. Whether it's your old fire team, a unit reunion group, or new connections — squads give you a circle that checks in together.

Track Your Mood Over Time
See your mood history on your profile. Spot patterns. Notice the bad weeks before they become bad months. Your buddies see your latest check-in too, so support can show up before you have to ask.

Color-Coded Check-In Status
At a glance, see who's checked in recently (green), who's getting overdue (amber), and who hasn't been heard from in a while (red). It's a gentle nudge — not a guilt trip — to reach out to the buddy who's gone quiet.

Quick Profile Previews
Long-press any buddy on your home screen for a fast look at their profile, latest mood, and recent activity. Tap to message or open the full profile.

Crisis Resources, One Tap Away
The Veterans Crisis Line (988, press 1) is reachable from every screen in the app. Text, call, or chat — no menus to dig through. If you or a buddy needs help right now, help is right there.
