About this game
Previse42 is a social game about making short-term predictions.
Users of the Previse42 app can compete in existing prediction leagues and also create their own prediction leagues. We offer several high-quality built-in leagues (American Politics, European Soccer, Finance, Tech/AI, Tennis, Tweets League, Random League). We make it easy for users to create and manage their own leagues.
Each league has rounds (roughly weekly, for the built-in leagues). A round consists of around 10 short-term Yes/No predictions, and is bounded to that. To eliminate exposure to odds and free user's intuition, we use betting pools (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Betting_pool). Each round has its own ranking which adjusts the general league ranking, which is an ELO-like rating system (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system). A reputation system is thus generated, ranging from noob levels to a "Hari Seldon" level that user can share with friends and the world.
