Available for Android, Chromebooks, iOS, Windows, Ubuntu and MacOS. All devices are monitored under a single account and manageable from the mobile app or the online panel.

✦ Uninstalling Prey:
Please consider that we request you enable a permission to keep the app from being uninstalled. It's an extra security measure so the application cannot be removed without your authorization. You can uninstall the app from the login screen, deactivating said permission.

MUST READ:
▸ The app suggests you disable the “Delete permissions if not used” option to ensure continuous protection.

▸ The app requests Accessibility services when using the "Lock" feature. Accessibility is used to block the device, showing an "Access Denied" screen overlay.

▸ The Power Button Lock feature is only available on Android versions lower than 9. Android 9 and above include added restrictions that block this functionality.

▸ The app requires you grant access to Management of All Files in Android 12 or later. This permission allows for "File Retrieval" *Pro*, beyond images and videos.

▸ The app uses the Device Administrator permission. This allows the Remote Wipe and Lock feature's function *Pro*

▸ The App request access to location data in the background to enable the geotracking, and *Pro* geofencing, location history features even when the app is not in use. While most Android devices will automatically request all necessary permissions, some need additional ones to be granted manually. This app has become extremely troublesome. I can't log my cell phone on. Keeps on asking me to check my settings, but no gives absolutely no idea of what settings need to be checked. My phone has now remained completely unprotected. Reloaded the app. Opened a new account. No difference. Pity, Prey use to work rather well.

Warning prey needs permissions. After latest update; it's not working good. Made it device admin, gave location,file access and accessibility access. Still it's giving error

Why did you remove the option to disable the power button when device is locked?🤦it only works on my old Samsung A2 core. Other than that I am satisfied as I have once found my lost phone. But please Work on disabling the use of notifications when screen is locked that way data connection will remain open which will give me time to locate the phone in real time
