Used to be good Can no longer add my device, getting some kind of error. And every time it updates or I haven't gone and opened the app in a while, it logs out and you have to add your device as a brand new device. Naturally if you forget to do this every couple of weeks, the app is totally useless for finding a lost phone.
Used to be useful ZTE Z970 android phone. This used to be the best locator on the face of the Earth. Unfortunately they have "improved" it into uselessness. While it did finally find my phone, it thinks my desktop and notebook are 512 miles from where it is actually located in the middle of a reservoir. I used to recommend this but not anymore. Android Lost is a far superior locator.
Doesn't work, can't use network Fails to use proxyless wifi network. Device is SCH-1415 running Android 4.1.2. Even if it might work using carrier(not tried) this would be a significant flaw
No remote gps Im looking for an app that can turn on gps remotely. I dont leave it on because its such a huge battery drain. These theft apps talk a big game but they just seem to be shells for device manager which is pretty worthless unless you have your gps and data on all the time
Allows phone to be turned off when screen is locked. Great idea and features, but the feature that stops a locked phone from shutting down through holding the power button has NEVER worked and they refuse to solve this huge problem..they ignore it..
Handy for small losses, too Couldn't find my phone, might have left it at work. Prey told me it was at home. Found it in the car.
- On this new Android version, you need to give Prey new permissions in order for the app to generate reports. Camera, location and device status access are needed.
- Improve performance and bug fixes.
