How much should a self-made item cost? If you only add up the materials, the calculation doesn't include your time, packaging, or workshop expenses. "Your Price" brings these elements together. It's suitable for small-scale production, handcrafted work, and services where it's important to understand the result of each sale.
Start with one item. Enter the cost of materials and packaging, the labor time in minutes, and your hourly rate. This step already reveals how much labor actually takes.
Now add the monthly fixed costs and the planned sales volume. The app will distribute them among the number of units. If costs are common for different items, specify the share allocated to each calculation—there's an explanation of this within.
The commission is set separately, as a percentage of the sales price, as is the desired margin. These are different values: the commission reduces the revenue, while the margin indicates the percentage of revenue remaining after expenses are taken into account. Based on your conditions, the app will calculate the price for the selected goal.
Then you can try it out. Move the price slider and monitor your profit per unit, margin, and monthly result. The cost structure is visible below the calculation, so you can clearly see where your money is going. Save a successful price in a card; you can always open the original data and edit it.
Will the product withstand the discount? Three scenarios are displayed side by side on the comparison screen: 10% cheaper, the current price, and 10% more expensive. Sometimes a small price change can significantly change your bottom line.
Each scenario has a sales volume required to cover fixed costs. If revenue after commission doesn't even cover variable costs, the app will clearly show that increasing sales at this price won't solve the problem. The calculation is based on the entered conditions and doesn't promise specific demand.
The first card in the workshop will be your product or service. Enter actual costs, refine the calculations as you work, and delete items that are no longer needed. The entire list can be cleared. No internet connection or account is required. Let the price you set be a decision you can explain to yourself, not a number you pick at random.
