The project has been prepared in line with the strategy of the rural infrastructure improvement. Provision has been made under this project is to improve the important rural roads, structures on upazila, union and village road (bridge/culvert), rural market, boat landing ghat. Proposed development works will improve rural access within the project area and also to the markets and thus facilitate agriculture production, generate employment and help directly to alleviate poverty of the rural poor. As such the project has been formulated inconformity with the objective of NSAPPR-2 and to meet the rural development priority of the elected government, and also consider huge public demand for rural infrastructure development. Consequently, the concerned honorable member of the parliament has submitted the scheme list on priority basis.
