About this app

Most money apps tell you what you've already spent. Spendpile answers the
question you actually have: how much can I still spend?

FREE TO SPEND, AT A GLANCE
Your "Free to spend" number is everything you have, minus what's already set
aside for bills coming up. Rent due next week? It's taken out before you see the
number, so you never mistake rent money for spending money.

ALL YOUR ACCOUNTS
- Add as many as you like: bank accounts, a savings account, a travel card, cash.
- Type in what's in an account right now and you're set. No bank login needed.
- One account can hold several currencies, each with its own balance.
- Tap an account to see its activity, update its balance, or edit it.

BILLS STILL TO PAY
- Add upcoming payments like rent, tuition, a gym membership or energy bills.
- Set them to repeat weekly, monthly or yearly.
- Each one shows whether it's covered or how much you're short by.
- Tap Mark paid: the payment is recorded and a repeating bill moves to its next
due date.
- See what your regular payments add up to per week, month and year.

SCAN A BILL
- Take a photo of a receipt, choose one from your gallery, or share it from any app.
- The total, date, currency, shop and each item on the bill are read for you.
- Items are tagged automatically: milk goes to Groceries, bin bags to Household,
shampoo to Personal care.
- Fix a tag once and it's remembered next time.
- A bill with items in several categories is split so your summary stays right.
- Bills are read on your phone, and work offline.

WHERE IT WENT
- What you spent this week, this month and this year.
- A breakdown by category, so you can see where the money goes.
- Search everything by title, tag, note or amount.

TRAVEL AND MULTIPLE CURRENCIES
- Record transfers between accounts, including currency conversion, like topping
up a travel card in one currency that arrives in another.
- Add exchange rates to see everything as one approximate total.

QUICK TO ADD
- Expenses, income, transfers and balance updates.
- Type a shop name and it's tagged like last time, or given a sensible guess.

YOUR DATA, YOUR PHONE
- No account and no sign-up. No ads.
- Your accounts, entries and bill photos are stored only on your phone.
- Export a backup file to move to a new phone, or export a spreadsheet (CSV) to
use your numbers anywhere.

Note: bill scanning reads Latin script. On bills in other scripts, such as Thai,
amounts and dates are read but item names may not be.
